Control your PC from your phone
Your phone,
your PC's trackpad.
You are on the couch and the movie is on the PC. Or you are across the room from a projector, and the mouse is on the desk. Scan a code and your phone becomes a trackpad and keyboard for your PC. It can show the PC's screen too, like remote desktop. Nothing to install from an app store, and nothing to sign in to.
If Windows SmartScreen asks about this new release, click More info → Run anyway. The installer is code-signed and verified.
Live on your Wi-Fi
Slide to move. Tap to click. Two fingers scroll.
Your phone in your hand, your PC across the room.
Your phone stands in for
- A wireless mouse
- A couch keyboard
- Walking to the desk
- A remote desktop app
A web page on your phone, not a store app · no account · free at home
Phone as touchpad, keyboard and screen
Remote desktop from your phone,
without the setup.
Open Remote control on your PC and scan the code with your phone's camera. Approve the phone on the PC after checking the code matches on both screens. Keep the page on your home screen and it opens straight to the trackpad next time.
Gestures you already know
Tap to click, hold to right click, tap twice to double click, tap and hold to drag, two fingers to scroll, three fingers for a middle click. Natural scrolling is on out of the box.
A real keyboard for the PC
The keyboard button brings up your phone's keyboard, and what you type lands on the PC. A row of keys covers the rest: Esc, Tab, Ctrl, Alt, Shift, Win, the arrows, Home, End, Page Up and Down, and Delete.
See the PC's screen on the phone
Tap Screen and the desktop appears live with a crosshair in the middle. Swipe to slide the screen under it, and the pointer goes where the crosshair lands. Pinch to zoom in on the phone, or hold a zoom button to zoom in steps. When you type from the phone, the view zooms to where you are typing and follows it (it works when the app on the PC reports its text cursor).
Tuned to your hand
Set the pointer speed and the scroll speed. Pick smooth or notched scrolling, drag with a tap and a half or a long press, and turn on a small tick in your hand for every click.
The same pairing sends photos, files and links between your phone and PC. See the phone companion.
Free and Pro
Free on your home Wi-Fi.
Pro goes where you go.
The trackpad, the keyboard and the screen view are free when your phone and PC are on the same network. Reaching your PC from anywhere, and using it while it's locked, are part of Pro.
Free, on your home Wi-Fi
- Your phone as a trackpad, with the gestures above
- Your phone as a keyboard, special keys included
- The PC's screen on your phone
- Pairing, and sending files both ways
- No account, nothing to sign in to
Pro, paid once
- Remote control from anywhere, over the internet
- Using your PC while it's locked: the lock screen shows on your phone, so you can unlock it from there
- Both are switches on the PC, off until you turn them on
- Plus the rest of Pro: the journal, meetings, the Studio look for recordings, unlimited dictation and billing
Away from home, turn on Work over the internet and Remote control away from home in the Phone window. For the lock screen, turn on Unlock it from my phone: Windows asks for your OK once to add a small helper.
The honest version
What it needs, and where it stops.
Better you read it here than find out on the couch.
The PC has to be on
Your phone talks to the KeptInFlow running on your PC, so the PC has to be on with the app running. Once a phone is paired, the connection starts with the app.
Locked is fine. Restarted is not.
Unlock it from my phone works when you are signed in and the PC is locked. After a restart, you sign in at the PC first.
Away from home needs a direct link
Remote control over the internet needs a direct link between the phone and the PC, and not every network allows one. On your own Wi-Fi it goes straight across. Chrome asks once to reach devices on your local network; allow it.
iPhone, with limits
Safari cannot reach a PC on your Wi-Fi directly, so an iPhone needs Work over the internet turned on. Android with Chrome is the smoothest setup.
KeptInFlow is Windows 10 and 11 only. You approve every phone on the PC, each one gets its own key, and you can remove one or disconnect them all with a fresh code. Read what it watches for the full picture.

AI that works the moment you subscribe. Or use your own AI key, or the free on-device model.
There are three ways to run the AI. The free on-device model answers on your own PC and costs nothing to run; it is smaller and slower than a cloud model. With your own AI key you pay the AI company directly for what you use. The $12/month AI plan is for people who want AI to just work: no key and nothing to set up, one bill, 5,000 fast AI actions a month, 1,200 minutes of cloud dictation, and every Pro feature included while it is active. On-device dictation and transcription are unlimited with Pro or the AI plan.
Before you ask
Questions, answered.
Is it really free?
Yes, on your home Wi-Fi. The trackpad, the keyboard and the view of the PC's screen are on the free plan, and the free plan does not expire. Remote control from anywhere over the internet, and using your PC while it's locked, are part of Pro.
Do I install an app on my phone?
No app store. Open Remote control on your PC and scan the code with your phone's camera. The phone side is a web page from keptinflow.com: put it on your home screen and it opens like an app.
Does it work with an iPhone?
With limits. Safari cannot reach a PC on your Wi-Fi directly, so on an iPhone, turn on Work over the internet on the PC. Android with Chrome is the smoothest setup.
Can I control my PC when I am away from home?
With Pro, yes. Turn on Work over the internet and Remote control away from home in the Phone window. Both are off until you turn them on. It needs a direct link between the phone and the PC, which not every network allows.
Can I unlock my PC from my phone?
With Pro, yes. Turn on Unlock it from my phone and the lock screen shows on your phone, so you can type your PIN or password there. Windows asks for your OK once to add a small helper. It works when you are signed in and the PC is locked, not after a restart.
Who else can connect to my PC?
Only phones you approve. Each approved device gets its own key. Open Phone on your PC to see when each one last connected, remove one, or disconnect them all with a fresh code. There is no account to break into.
Does the PC have to be on?
Yes. The phone talks to the KeptInFlow running on your PC, so the PC has to be on with the app running.
What about macOS?
Windows first: that's where the deepest integration is possible today. macOS is on the roadmap but not dated.
