What KeptInFlow watches

KeptInFlow does a lot, and some of it involves reading your screen, your microphone, or your clipboard. Software that can do those things should say exactly when it does them, so here is the whole list: every feature that reads anything, what it reads, whether it leaves this PC, and whether it is switched on the day you install.
Every row can be turned off in Settings, or with "Keep everything on this PC" for the rows that send something out. Nothing here is required for the rest of the app to work.
Meetings and audio

| The Fan | Mouse buttons, to catch a right-button hold and pause. The screen is read only after you hold the right button through a short, straight drag up or down. That is when an Up or Down fan can open. A quick stroke, a plain right-click, and a left or right fan read nothing from the screen. Card numbers, passwords, keys and codes are replaced with placeholders first. Your phone
None of this runs until you pair a phone by scanning the code on the Phone page. A PC that has never been paired opens no port for it.

The helpers that appear on their own
Three features show a small offer without being asked. They are the only parts of KeptInFlow that speak first, so they get their own section.

Things KeptInFlow does not do
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for and nothing to sign in to.
- No ad tracking and no profile of you anywhere. The app does send a daily count of which features ran (names and numbers, never what they were used on); the Send usage counts switch under Settings, Privacy turns it off.
- No keylogging. KeptInFlow does use a Windows keyboard hook, because that is how a global shortcut works, but it is watching for its own shortcuts. Your key presses are not recorded. The only typed words it keeps are the ones the rows above name (Get back lost text, and a routine you are teaching). Those stay on this PC unless you ask the AI to name a routine's steps.
- Your API keys stay in the Windows credential store and are read only by the app's native code. They are never sent to us.
- Nothing you capture, record, or type is sold, shared, or used to train anything.
What passes through us
If you use the AI actions that need no key (100 AI actions a month on the free plan, more during the trial) or the optional AI Included plan, those particular requests pass through a relay we run, because they use our API key rather than yours. Detected personal details are masked on that path whatever your settings say, and we do not store the content of those requests. Add your own key and the relay leaves the picture entirely. During the trial and on the AI Included plan, the short yes-or-no questions the app asks along the way go through the same relay to TypeSafe.
Two more rows above use a relay we run, and both are off until you turn them on: the ChatGPT connection, and your phone when it works over the internet. Neither relay keeps what passes through it. A problem report goes to our server when you press Send, and so do the daily feature counts described above. The privacy policy covers all of this in full.
